Neo Berlin 2087 is set in a futuristic Berlin in the year 2087. It is a third-person action RPG that has the elements of stealth and cypherpunk. The game’s story starts with the murder of a police chief. Nolan is the player’s character who is a detective and is tasked with solving the case as well as protecting the daughter of the slain police chief. Finding the answer leads him into a conspiracy that affects not only his life but the life of the entire city.
Elysium Game Studios, the developers of Neo Berlin 2087 released a new trailer for the game. The trailer shows a dark environment with some cinematic aspects. The video starts with Nolan finding the daughter of the murdered chief’s daughter and then she escapes with him in a flying car. Later in the video, we see combat from both first-person and third-person perspectives. Toward the end of the trailer, we see an emotional relationship being developed between the two.
Animations Are Clunky
The animation in the trailer has the internet divided. Some players are happy with the cyberpunky setting while others have concerns regarding the poor quality of the animations. The animation not only looks unpolished but devoid of life as well. There are fears that the developers might not be able to polish the animations due to a limited budget.
Neo Berlin 2087 won’t be presented at Gamescom 2024 so we won’t know its release date until developers announce it. Players who are interested in it have to wait a while before we get to know how much the game will be improved.
