During The Game Awards 2024, Solasta 2 was revealed with a cinematic gameplay trailer. The game will become playable through the demo that was dubbed as “coming soon”. The game is supposed to arrive in early access sometime in 2025. We have to wait for a specific release date to be revealed.
The original game in the series, Solasta: Crown of the Magister, was released in 2021. Solasta 2 uses the 5th edition rule of Dragon & Dungeons. It will seem familiar to the fans of tabletop Dragon & Dungeons or anyone else looking for an experience similar to Baldur’s Gate 3. The original game also had some similarities with Baldur’s Gate and it seems like the new one does as well. The first Solasta mostly received positive reviews. The game is in an acceptable place when it comes to early access.
Solasta: Crown of the Magister was ported to the PS5 earlier this year. It was already available on PC and Xbox consoles. Based on what we can see in the trailer, it seems like early access will only be available for PC players. Since previous games are available on consoles, the chance of their release on other platforms is highly likely. Perhaps it will be available on other platforms after a full release.
