Gothic 1 Remake from Alkimia Interactive, which was slated to release this year, has been pushed to early 2026. The news was announced during the THQ Nordic showcase. The announcement was accompanied by a new trailer and the game’s famous character Xardas.
The trailer gives us a brief outline of the world, which ranges from prisoners of orcs to Khorinis’ mines to different creatures running amok in the kingdom. The trailer also gives us a glimpse of the game’s upgraded combat. Combat in the game ranges from hacking and slashing to spell-casting and even summoning skeletons as a necromancer.
The Prologue demo for the game is also now available for consoles, which was previously exclusive to PC. The demo showcases the direction and overall feel that the game is aiming for.
