Announced five years ago, Arc Raiders now has a release date. The new trailer for the game was unveiled during Summer Game Fest 2025. The trailer gives us a glimpse of the game along with the release date for the extraction shooter. It is set to release on Xbox Series X/S, PC, and PlayStation 5 on October 30, 2025.
The game is developed by Embark Studios, a developer made out of former DICE developers, the same guys that developed The Finals. Arc Raiders brings sci-fi elements with intense survival in a world full of enemy players and AI opponents.
The new gameplay trailer showcases intense gunfights, desert ruins, and massive mechanical enemies in a post-apocalyptic setting. It pretty much sticks close to all the stuff that we have seen during the last tests. Arc Raiders will release on October 30, 2025, which is 37 days after the release date of another extraction shooter, Marathon. However, Marathon might experience a delay due to plagiarism claims.
As per the developer Embark, the test was “the best rehearsal” and some major adjustments are being made to make the performance of the game better. To achieve that goal the developers are removing bugs, providing a better onboarding experience for new players, and a better in-game economy system.
One can see clear inspiration from games like Destiny and Escape from Tarkov but developers have applied their own twist of gunplay, 80s-inspired tech, and resilient AI enemies. After a successful beta campaign, the developers thanked players for their feedback.
Despite not being a surprise drop it will still feel great to take on the challenge in a post-apocalyptic world.
