Civilization 7 is set to release on February 11, 2025. The news comes along with a new trailer which was shown during Gamescom 2024. This trailer is the first time that we have seen the gameplay of the game.
Civilization 6 artwork was too cartoony which is not the case this time around. The artwork of Civilization 7 is more like Civilization 5. The game will have navigable rivers after a while which is great.
Civilization 7 brings huge changes to the way the world works by changing the entire structure. It changes how cities function and how the war is waged. These gameplay changes will have a huge impact on how the game works. You might even need to unlearn certain things.
Civilization has always been my favorite strategy game series so I am excited about the new one.
The game will be available on all platforms except phones. Civilization 7 will be available on Windows, Linus, PS4, Switch, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S. As long as you have any of these platforms, you can play the game on it.
Two other 2K games Borderlands 4 and Mafia Old Country were also announced during Gamescon.
