Due to Poor Financial Reports, Ubisoft is delaying its Games, including Far Cry 7

There should not be much expectation regarding the release of big games from Ubisoft in the coming years. The developers are going to put more time into Far Cry 7 and their other games. It is not a good financial year for Ubisoft, and they are looking at Prince of Persia: Sands of Time Remake as a savior.

Ubisoft Games has announced the fiscal year earnings for 2024-25 which had a huge impact on their IPs. It made one thing clear, not much is to be expected from Ubisoft in the coming years. The company is borrowing from the success of Assassin’s Creed Shadows to implement it in other games. The game was a huge success even though it faced delays. Ubisoft will be taking the same approach for Far Cry 7 and other games.

The revenue for the publisher took a loss of $178 million, making it 17.5% less than the revenue of the previous year. Ubisoft’s expectations for the year 2025-26  are not high. They are betting on Prince of Persia: Sands of Time Remake and Anno 117: Pax Romana as their savior for the time being. The developer is hoping that the rise of their famous IPs will help them raise profits for the years 2026 and beyond. The next Assassin’s Creed, Assassin’s Creed Haxe, will likely see the release in 2027.

There are also rumors of a Black Flag Remake being in development, but it’s not clear when the project is going to see completion and release.

It seems like Ubisoft Games is trying to focus on what they are good at before their famous titles are ready for release. Assassin’s Creed Shadows was a major success so it will keep the publisher afloat before their games are ready.
