The developer SEGA has revealed the first gameplay trailer for the Virtua Fighter project during EVO 2025. The trailer gives us a glimpse of a brand new fighting game. It is being developed in collaboration with SEGA and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio.
The trailer shows us a fight between the series’s main character, Akira Yuki, and a new character called Stella. Based on what we can see in the trailer, it can be one hell of a fighting game. The range of moves and the way characters react to hits is quite good. There is no release date for the game just yet.
Of course, there are the refreshed visuals, which shouldn’t be sneezed at. It is supposed to be a game that is going to act as a successor to Virtua Fighter 5.
Sega clarified that more information regarding the game will be provided at the Tokyo Game Show 2025. The harder challenge will be the upgrade of the gameplay while staying true to the core feeling of the game.
The developers are trying to make smart changes to the game while keeping it true to the core loop.
