A co-op action game, Godbreakers, is being announced by Thunderful Publishing and developed by To The Sky. The game is slated to release later this year. The game is already available through a demo, which is accessible to players.
Players will take control of Godbreakers, who are vessels of humanity summoned by celestials to fight against rogue AI known as Monad. In order to take down Monad, players have to defeat enemies and absorb their powers. The task is accomplished by jumping into the bodies of enemies and then exploding. Up to four players can join, and the game might not be exactly solo-friendly. Gameplay is fluid, combat is fast-paced, and there is a lot of hack ‘n’ slash action.
Players will take control of an Archetype. There are six different Archetypes, each of which has a passive trait tied to different weapons, and three different skills with cool-downs. Each class of a character will have a unique weapon, traits, and playstyle, like dual swords and laser cannon, among others.
The game features six different biomes, with each one having hazards, enemies, and large-scale boss battles. Even though the primary focus of the game is to take down enemies in different combat arenas, biomes still offer varied transversal options. Players also have access to a grappling hook, which can be used to gain access to different areas.
Godbreakers is set to release later this year for PC and PS5. Xbox players might need to wait a little longer since there is a high chance that it will be released on Xbox.
