Valve is working on a new game which could be Half-Life 3. The news comes from a post on Reddit that links an actress’s website with a project in which she is working as a voice-over artist. That project is known as “Project White Sands” as mentioned on her résumé. The website has now been updated and mention of the project has been removed.
It is not proof and might not mean anything since Valve has previously scrapped projects before being released. However, it does give proof that Valve is working on something.
The name White Sand does make sense because it is a National Park in New Mexico and that is where the Black Mesa Research facility is located on the game. It is a small reference or it could be intentional to throw people off and avoid any leaks.
One of the things that hint toward its release is that Half-Life: Alyx is currently 66% off which will last till 19th August. The price has been discounted before but this is the lowest the game has gotten since release. This could mean that the developers want more players to experience the game before the next game is announced. It is also a good opportunity to play it if you have a VR set because it is amazing.
