In December 2022, we learned that a production company was on board to sign a movie deal for the Sifu game. Now Netflix is also part of the project, which shows that a major change has occurred in the background.
The creator of John Wick, Derek Kolstad, was working as a writer for the movie, but now T.S. Nowlinis is the main writer for the movie. T.S. Nowlin has worked as a screenplay writer for The Maze Runner and has also worked as a writer for Netflix’s The Adam Project. It will be interesting to see Nowlin take on the adaptation.
Despite the writer of John Wick not working on the game, those four movies still have a connection with the Sifu movie adaptation. The stunt performer of John Wick, Chad Stahelski is on board with the project. So some top-notch action can be expected from the movie.
