Developed by Asobo Studio and published by Focus Entertainment, Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy was announced during the Xbox Games Showcase. It features the character of Sophia from the previous game in the series, A Plague Tale: Requiem. The game is set to launch sometime in 2026 for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
The game gives players a fresh look at Sophia, giving us insight into her standing in the previous game. She is younger in the trailer, which means that the game takes place before the events of the last games.
Based on the tagline, there seems to be more mythical stuff included in the game, which reads. “Unravel ancient secrets, and confront a mythical creature at the heart of a devastating curse.” It further continues, “Plunge into Sophia’s original story in Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy.”
This won’t seem like a bad idea if you like what the last two games in the series had to offer. Let’s hope that developers do justice to the characters.
