The new gameplay trailer for the upcoming game The Thing: Remastered has given us a look at the visuals and gameplay of the game. It is a faithful recreation of the 2002 survival horror game which was based on the 1982 movie of the same name.
Nightdive Studios has upgraded the classic horror and will be bringing it to modern gamers by using their proprietary engine called KEX Engine. The upgrades of the game will enable players to play the game in 4K resolution at 120 FPS. Character models have been improved, and new textures and animation have been added to the game as well. The use of advanced 3D rendering has resulted in better atmospheric effects and lighting. These changes bring the iconic game to new gamers and reanimate the thrill for modern players.
The Thing: Remastered takes place after the story of the movie. The game takes place in an arctic tundra in an Outpost research facility. A deadly and mysterious alien creature has killed everyone. Players will take control of Captain J.F. Blake who is a leader of special forces and sent on a rescue team after the carnage of the movie. Now players are trapped and there is a risk of infection. The team now has to keep their fear and paranoia aside so that they can live to see another day.
What To Expect
Members of your team are NPCs, they are Soldier, Medic, and Engineer. Aliens hide in plain sight so any of your team members can turn out to be the shape-shifting alien, do keep an eye on your team. You will also need to manage the fear level of your team because fear can result in complications.
All the elements that made the original a great experience will be coming in better shape in The Thing: Remastered.
