Batman: Arkham Shadow is a highly anticipated VR game that is being developed by Meta’s first-party studio called Camouflaj. It will be exclusive to Quest 3. A new trailer of the game gives us the first look at the gameplay. It shows what we can expect from the game and its graphics of Quest 3. The game is set to release in the fall of this year.
If you have a Quest 3 then you can play the game in October 2024. It means that you will be able to play the game in less than 3 months.
It is also the first time that we have gotten a first look at the gameplay. Based on what we can see in the trailer, the game is spot-on both mechanically and theme-wise at being similar to other Batman Arkham games. The grappling gun can be used to pull enemies near you and go around in the environment using it. The Arkham gameplay such as stealth, dodging, gliding, and detective visions is back.
There is a fine print on the trailer that states “Captured in-engine. Actual gameplay may vary.” It means that the footage was from a development build that was on PC.
We know that the Batman: Arkham Shadow is Quest 3 exclusive it is very unlikely that it will be available on PC. It means that the developers are showing their target graphics while running on the Quest 3. If that is the case then the game looks good when compared with average games on Quest 3. This could showcase the true caliber of Quest 3 by pushing it to the limit.
