Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn was one of the games shown during the Xbox Games Showcase and PC Gaming Show in the Summer Game Fest. It is an action-adventure RPG developed by A44 Games and published by Kepler Interactive.
It is a souls-like game but is a little forgiving compared to other souls-like games. You can call it a light souls-like game.
Eden Ring created a trend of open-world games and Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn follows that trend. So, it is an open world that is divided into three different regions. Players will be able to upgrade their arsenal and get new abilities
During the showcase, we got a brief glimpse of its combat. The combat ranges from close-quarter slashing to long-range explosive attacks and weird beams that can be fired from a distance. The fundamentals of sousl-like mechanics are there but it is still a little different. Players will have the option of dodging and parrying. There is also the option of making enemies prime which will let you do more critical damage.
You also have a Companion called Enki who is a God that is aiding you on your quest. It seems like the main character hates Gods, the story will shed more light on that. Your companion will assist you in combat and allow you to move around with magical abilities.
