During the State of Play September 2024 XLGAMES and Kakao Games announced the MMORPG called ArcheAge Chronicles. Originally the game was revealed as ArcheAge 2 which was supposed to be a direct sequel of ArcheAge. ArcheAge was released in Korea in 2013 and it was internationally released in 2014. ArcheAge Chronicles is set to release on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5. At the moment, the game does not have a proper release window.
ArcheAge takes place in the world during the Age of Pioneers. A new legendary land that was forgotten known as Auroria entices many to head towards it for fame and fortune. Players act as members of a trading company.
There will be ancient ruins to explore. One of the major parts of the narrative seems to be the investigation of a deadly airship crash. Players will get caught up in the plot that is surrounding Auroria.
The game will have fast-paced action that will require the player to do range attacks, magic attacks, or engage in close-quarter melee attacks. There are quests like hunting, crafting stuff, making houses, gathering material and herbs as well as defending trade routes along with other players. It kind of reminds me of New World and GreedFall.
