The Outer Worlds was a surprise hit when it was released in 2019, and now we are getting The Outer Worlds 2. Players wake up from cryo and capitalism has reached its peak. They can do a wide variety of gameplay stuff, from talking to fighting to sneaking and so on. Players then travel to a wide range of planets with their companions.
The sequel was announced back in 2021 but not much was revealed regarding the game other than some generic footage and a voiceover. During The Game Awards 2024, Obsidian showed us more of what the game has to offer.
The trailer is flashy with the promise of “everything that should have been in the first game: more action, more weapons, and more… graphics?” The new trailer has shown some good gunplay with a weapon that can freeze, create a ball of lighting, or even launch orbs that burn everything in its way. The option of stealth is always there so you can just go that route.
Players also get to see the environment of the game along with other stuff that players will experience as they play the game. The environment can range from facilities on ice to strange worlds covered in vines, and so on.
The Outer Worlds 2 has been given 2025 as the release window but there is no information regarding the exact release date. Even though
