Bellring Games has announced a new third-person dark fantasy game called Mistfall Hunter. The game is a looter shooter RPG that takes some inspiration from the souls-like genre.
It takes place in the aftermath of a war between Supreme Gods and Outer Gods. The war has resulted in an apocalyptic event. Most Gods are dead and their blood has taken the shape of a lethal force called Gyldenmist. The force results in madness in living creatures.
Some humans are still alive and are living as the remnants of the civilization. Players have to battle Gyldenized creatures while also repairing the web of fate to save the world from destruction.
Mistfall Hunter will have third-person combat and aiming will be an important part of gameplay. Players will be able to do different combos and make different changes to their skills in accordance with their strategy. There are different classes in the game which include Sorcerer, Shadowstrix, Mercenary, and Blackarrow. Each one of these classes has their own unique weapons and abilities.
The use of different weapons can even result in brand-new combat styles. The RPG aspects of the game are in full swing, the talents of different classes can be used to create builds that can turn the tide of an encounter. As players get new powerful gear they will start to stack different modifiers which will enable them to unlock abilities, both passive and active.
The Looter and Extraction Shooter
You can either play solo or team up with two other friends to play as a team. The world is full of Gyldenblod and loot. To get to that stuff you would need to go through Gyldenized monsters and enemy players. Like other extraction games, it has high stakes and death can result in losing everything you have gathered which keeps the environment tense.
The game is set to release sometime in 2025. If you are a fan of the extraction and looter shooters then do keep an eye out for Mistfall Hunter. In a lot of ways, it reminds me of Godfall.
