There was a significant leak of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remake, which made it more likely that a remake of the game would happen sooner rather than later.
New images appeared on the website of the developer Virtuous but were removed soon after. The images are still available on Imgur so you can check them out. The leak images show us side-by-side comparison of the original and the remake. The leaked images shows enhanced environment and one is even showing a detailed Oblivion Gate from the game.
Rumors regarding The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remake emerged in 2023 when the US Federal Trade Commission was working on a Microsoft case that hinted at a Remake of the game. The reveal came to the surface due to a presentation that Microsoft submitted during the acquisition of ZeniMax Studios. Another remaster mentioned in the presentation was Fallout 3 remaster, a new Doom game which turned out to be Doom: The Dark Ages, and a new Dishonored game.
There are also rumors of shadow dropping of a game from Bethesda. The new leak will have an impact on the scheduling of the game’s release date and reveal. The new entry in The Elder Scroll series The Elder Scrolls VI was announced seven freaking years ago!
One thing is certain: The leaks have shaken up the developers, which is always good news since they can have a huge impact on the game’s reveal.
