Assassin’s Creed Remakes Are In the Works, Confirmed By UBI Soft’s CEO

As per the CEO of UBI Soft Yves Guillemot, UBI Soft is working on multiple Assassin’s Creed Remake Games. The interview regarding the topic was posted the UBI Soft’s website. He said that players should get excited about some remakes. It is unclear which remakes we will get or which games will be part of that remake.

UBI Soft’s Yves Guillemot stated “Firstly, players can be excited about some remakes,” and further clarified “which will allow us to revisit some of the games we’ve created in the past and modernize them; there are worlds in some of our older Assassin’s Creed games that are still extremely rich.”

The main takeaway from the interview was his statement “Firstly, players can be excited about some remakes,”

Ubisoft has plans for Assassin’s Creed since it is one of their flagship game.

We further see the statement in the interview stating, “Secondly, to answer your question, there will be plenty of experience variety. The goal is to have Assassin’s Creed games come out more regularly, but not for it to be the same experience every year” He further states

“There are a lot of good things to come, including Assassin’s Creed Hexe, which we’ve announced, which is going to be a very different game from Assassin’s Creed Shadows. We’re going to surprise people, I think.”

Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag or Something Else

The biggest expectation for the fans of the series is Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag Remake. The previous year, Kotaku reported that UBI Soft’s Singapore division is in the development of a remake of Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag. Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag is more than 10 years old. It is a pirate-based stealth action game that is considered to be one of the best games in the series by fans. There is still no confirmation regarding a specific game that is going to get a remake.

There has never been a full-fledged Assassin’s Creed remake game but there are a lot of options for a remake. The first Assassin’s Creed was released in 2007 and was followed by the Ezio trilogy. The trilogy included Assassin’s Creed 2, Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood, and Assassin’s Creed: Revelations. A sort of, remaster for new consoles called Ezio Collection was released in 2016.

The potential games that can see remakes include Assassin’s Creed, Assassin’s Creed 2, Assassin’s Creed 3, and Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag. Or it can be something else. It will be good to see where the UBI Soft takes it from here.
