EA is working on two different Battlefield games for the series and one of these two games is Battlefield 6. In the past few days, more information about the series’ future has emerged. The key information about the game reveals that the next battlefield will take place in modern times. It will have a 64-player multiplayer battle as well. Details beyond this are scarce but the report has revealed some of the stuff from the game.
The game is chronologically named and it will be called Battlefield 6 which makes sense since the last chronological game was Battlefield 5. The second game is named just Battlefield, at least for now.
Aside from the generic information, the report goes into the details of the setting for the new game. The game is set somewhere between 2027 and 2030. In the campaign, “a massive private military going up against NATO.”
Campaign and multiplayer are not the only things coming to the next Battlefield, a battle royale type game is also planned for the release. EA is planning 45 weapons and 10 maps to be included in the game upon release on day one.
There is not even a broad release window for the new Battlefield. Based on the information available it seems like 2025 would be the launch year for it. New information will start to show up in the coming months even if Battlefield 6 doesn’t get released in 2025.
