Borderlands 4 Was Announced At Gamescom

Gearbox Software which is the publisher of Borderlands, announced Borderlands 4 along with a teaser trailer providing us the first glimpse at the game. Players get to have the first glimpse of the brand-new planet that is going to be introduced. Borderlands 4 is the seventh game in the series and 4th mainline game. Once again players will take the role of a Vault Hunter as they search for a secret alien treasure and take down anything that gets in their path.

The founder and President of Gearbox Software Randy Pitchford has this to say about the game “The team and I at Gearbox have a lot we’ve wanted to do with Borderlands since we first introduced the looter shooter genre to the world with our original game,” he further continues. “All of us at Gearbox have massive ambitions for Borderlands 4 and are putting everything we have into making everything we love about Borderlands better than ever before while taking the game to new levels in exciting new directions.”

The Borderlands franchise has sold more than 87 million copies so far. The series has received acclaim from both fans and critics. With lots of different characters to play as and guns to use the series has created a name for itself.

Two other 2K games Mafia: The Old Country and Civilization 7 were also shown during Gamescom. Mafia: The Old Country was revealed while Civilization 7 got a release date.

Borderlands 4 is set to release sometime in 2024 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. I think it will be released in the later years of 2025. For now, that’s all we have stay tuned for more.
