Another dark fantasy extraction shooter is coming called Hunger which was announced by the developer GOOD FUN CORPORATION, the developers of Hell Let Loose. It will be a PvPvE experience similar to the Hunt: Showdown. The game will also have some RPG aspects but it has no proper release date yet.
Hunger takes place during Napoleonic Europe in which a Bacterium plague has ravaged the lands. Players are a survivor of that plague who now has to embark on a journey alone or with a group of up to three allies. Players have to take on this journey all the while being chased by grotesque creatures that have risen as a result of the plague.
The survivability and well-being of your character partially depend on the beings of Chateau who are a group that gives you quests who has merchants, bounty hunters, and stash to keep stuff, among other things. The PVE element is in full swing so as you complete different missions it will build your reputation which will give you access to stuff like abilities, weapons, gear, new locations, and different materials.
Players can use a wide array of weapons which includes ranged weapons, melee weapons, and throwable weapons. The game is based on the idea of “methodical and frenetic ranged and melee combat”. It means that you will have armor, shields, potions, mods, and more. Along with that, you have to use a mix of melee and ranged weapons.
Customization
There are different perks to unlock which can be passive, tactical, and a powerful ultimate ability in Hunger. There is also a skill tree that will have 100 talents to choose from. It enables you to make different builds as per your play style. You can go all out on stealth, ranged, melee combat, or even go for a support build to heal and repair.
Again, there is no proper release date for the game just yet but the developers are planning on releasing it in early access in the next two years.
