Kong: Survivor Instinct was revealed by the developers 7Levels, the publisher of this new action adventure. The iconic monster will appear in this collaboration with Legendary Entertainment. It will be released sometime this year. The exact release date of the game has not been provided. It is the first trailer of the game that also includes some gameplay. The game takes place shortly after the events of Godzilla vs Kong movie.
The official pitch for the game states “A sudden Titan attack prompts massive evacuation efforts but not everyone makes it to safety before the devastation ensues. Caught in the crossfire between battling monsters, many residents become trapped in the collapsing city only daughter among them!” It further continues “Kong: Survivor Instinct is a 2.5D action-adventure game that combines realistic platforming, challenging combat, and metroidvania-style exploration during a thrilling quest of survival worthy of the Monsterverse franchise.”
Kong: Survivor Instinct is Legendary Entertainment’s attempt to bring Legendary Entertainment’s Monsterverse to video games. It was previously teased that there are more Monsterverse in the making so we can expect more of them.
