In performance mode, the game will be played at 1080p 120fps HDR while docked and 720p 120fps HDR in handheld mode.

The announcement was made during Nintendo Direct, which showed us a lot about Switch 2. In the trailer, we can see that the game takes place on a planet called Viewros. The main character of the game, Samus Aran, now has new physic abilities that she will use to defeat enemies as well as solve puzzles. The trailer shows that the game is set to release in 2025 without giving us a specific release date.

Metroid Prime 4: Beyond had a troubled development cycle. It was originally revealed in 2017, not too long after the release of the original Switch. Later in 2019, Nintendo announced it would reboot the game with Retro Studios joining the team. We finally got a first look at the game in 2024 with gameplay footage, and based on what we have seen, there are things to look forward to.
