Monster Hunter Wilds Gets Review Bombed On PC

Monster Hunter Wilds is under fire and is facing severe criticism on Steam. Players are frustrated with the poor optimization of the PC version and the lack of challenging endgame content. Even though the launch of the game was big, it has seen a major decline in player base, which is even lower than the active number of players of 2018’s Monster Hunter World.

A large part of the criticism is targeted at the technical issues that are plaguing the game. There are reports of major frame rate drop issues, constant shattering, and crashes even on beefed-up machines.

Performance is not the only issue in the game, and veteran fans of the series are criticizing the limited endgame content. Many players think that the game does not have enough depth to give the game more replayability value.

Monster Hunter World was riddled with somewhat issues and faced similar criticism. However, with the updates, it’s evolved into a game that was adored by fans. The release of the Iceborne expansion made it even better. It remains to be seen if the developers will give Monster Hunter Wilds the same treatment.

It’s not like Capcom is turning a blind eye because they have acknowledged the issues and are promising fixes for it. However, the pace of releasing the updates is slow, which adds to the frustration. Dragon’s Doma 2 also faced somewhat similar issues, which have raised questions about the PC optimization of Capcom’s games.

Currently, the overall reviews of Monster Hunter Wilds on Steam are mostly negative.
