Rainbow Six Siege is getting the biggest gameplay overhaul since the launch of the game, titled Rainbow Six Siege X. 2025 also marks the 10th anniversary of the game, making it the longest-running live service game for the company.
Ubisoft has now revealed a new update through a teaser of Rainbow Six Siege X. The developer is describing it as “the biggest transformation in the game’s history” Players will need to relearn stuff and consider “new ways to play, deepened tactical gameplay, and major upgrades all around!”
The developer is describing this overhaul as the new page for the game that will define the game’s future. This update is designed to make Rainbow Six Siege the top first-person tactical shooter. If you were hoping for a sequel then I guess that won’t be happening for the foreseeable future.
The feedback from the fans regarding the teaser is positive. Many fans are hoping that Ubisoft would use this update to strip some updates that the developer has added over the years. Doing so will enable players to have a fresh start and create an easier entry point into the game. This announcement comes amid Ubisoft’s efforts to focus even more on its project while it is cutting costs and looking for potential sales of the company.
