Developer Unknown Worlds Entertainment has announced Subnautica 2 during the Xbox Showcase. It is a diving survival simulator that features a co-op of up to four players.
Players will take control of an explorer on a new planet and will let players navigate the underwater world. Research has revealed that this new planet is dangerous to human colonization. However, the AI swayed humans which resulted in the exploration of this new planet.
To survive, players have to utilize different resources enabling them to make more powerful stuff and tools. Tools are not the only ones that players need to consider as they have to improve their bodies as well which is important for survival.
The Steam page of the developers states. “Uncover a rich world full of mysterious lifeforms, from the smallest fish to the largest Leviathans. Scan creatures to learn more about them. As you learn more about this world, evolve your genetics to adapt your body for survival,”
Based on what we can see there is quite a bit of new creatures. Some of these creatures are friendly while others will shred you to pieces. Subnautica 2 is set to be released for early access in 2025. It will feature the cooperative mode from the beginning along with different biomes to transverse.
