A new DLC for The Division 2 known as Battle for Brooklyn is going to be released on May 27, 2025. The DLC will be accompanied by the arrival of a new season. This time around, players are heading back to New York City but it will be in a new time of year, fall.
Some of the areas will be familiar to players but the developers are promising an entirely new take on the map. There will be new secrets to uncover and challenges to complete including new hunters. Those familiar with the Division will know what it means.
This time around, the primary factions that you would need to fight against are Cleaners and Rikers. Cleaners are bringing Purple Flame which will have a major impact on the gameplay.
A new skill is also arriving with The Division 2 Battle for Brooklyn called Smart Cover. Those who have played in the Division will know what that means. Though it is a little different from the one in the origional game, its primary function of strengthening protection points remains the same. It can be used both offensively and defensively.
A new exotic mask called Catalyst will also be part of the DLC.
Another DLC In New York
I am wondering, why not another city? Why keep going back to New York? I think that i already know the answer to it. It’s because they already have the assent for New York from The Division and don’t need to create a new city. In The Division 3, we might see the same treatment given to Washington DC.
Players who bought the Gold or Ultimate editions of the game will get the DLC as part of the deal. The expansion will be available on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
