Tides of Annihilation Was Revealed During State of Play February 2025

During State of Play February 2025, Tides of Annihilation, a single-player, narrative-driven game, was announced. It is being developed by Eclipse Glow Games.

The setting of the game is a modern-day London, which is under threat from mythical otherworldly powers. Players will control the character called Gwendolyn as he explores the city while also relying on the Spectral Knights of the Round Table during combat. The enemies that you fight against are inspired by Arthurian legends. Players would also fight big monsters along with smaller ones.

The developer Eclipse Glow Games is a brand new studio that is based in China and is being supported by Tencent. The developer has over 100 employees and has experience with previous games such as Assassin’s Creed, Prince of Persia, and Persona among others.

Kun Fu, the lead game producer at Eclipse Glow Games explains it as “Debuting Tides of Annihilation at Sony State of Play is an incredible, humbling accomplishment for the Eclipse Glow development team,” and further states “It’s also just the beginning. We’ve created a world that reimagines Arthurian Legend where themes of courage, loyalty, and heroism intertwine with an epic story set in a strange yet familiar setting that will test the mettle of true gamers and push the genre forward.”

Players will fight against hordes of different enemies, which will include both bigger and smaller ones. The thing about Tides of Annihilation is that it is not a souls-like game but a game like Devil May Cry. The game is set to release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. There is no release date for the game just yet.
