Wuchang: Fallen Feathers is a new souls-like action RPG that was revealed during Xbox Games Showcase. Developed by Chengdu Lingze Technology, Wuchang: Fallen Feathers lets you take control of a monster hunter in a mystical realm.
The game is set in the late Ming Dynasty. There are warring factions and a mysterious disease is spreading at a rapid speed.
It seems like your character has some sort of power that lets her slay monsters. There seems to be a negative effect on the body of the power wielder. This could result in mechanics that make it different than other soul-like games.
Players will be fighting monsters both big and small. Fighting big monsters is common in soul-like games but the fighting style of the game can turn it up a notch. One of the character’s arms starts to glow when she uses the power. We later see her fighting another monster while her hand is glowing.
There are some strange enemies and some of them look absolutely hideous.
Locations are also an important part of the game. We can see different locations that range from snowy mountains to lush forests.
In the end lady says “I Should Know, It Runs in My Blood” so there could be some depth to that statement.
