Months after the last look at Silent Hill f we got another glimpse at the first Silent Hill game set in Japan. It appeared during the State of Play in June 2025. The trailer gives us a glimpse at the gameplay as well as the grotesque narrative and visuals. Along with the trailer, comes the release date of the game. It is slated to release on September 25 on PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S.
Silent Hill f is set in the 1960s, players will take control of a high school girl known as Shimizu Hinako. She now has to survive her foggy town of Ebisugaoka as she navigates through the horrors unleashed on the town. Players have to solve puzzles and fight against enemies some of which are creepy-looking monsters.
The game director stated on PlayStation Blog “The combat will have a heavier focus on melee and be more action-oriented compared to last year’s Silent Hill 2.” This will be a drastic shift for the game, presenting a new way to play the Silent Hill game.
