Civilization is one of the most famous if not the most famous strategy games and Civilization VII can be a continuation of that greatness. In a sense, it has become a cultural phenomenon for a vast group of players. For millennials, it has become a gaming identity. It is the type of game that can hook you in once you get the hang of it.
The first teaser trailer got me excited when it was released last week. Now we know that it is going to be released in 2025. The closer we get to the release date, the more information we will get.
The last Civilization was released for Windows in October 2015. So it has been nine years since we got a Civilization game. Different DLCs and stuff were released for the game that kept players occupied. However, a new game is better than getting different packs for one game.
We don’t see much in the trailer other than some statues and what the game is about. However, the trailer shows a great deal about Civilization VII and what the game is about.
One thing is sure, we are getting a new Civilization game and it will be fun to see what direction the series is heading to. I hope that we get an experience that justifies such a long wait for the game.
