Nioh 3 was Announced and There’s a Demo Out Now

During the State of Play June 2025, Nioh 3 was announced with a demo being made available soon after the announcement. It is Team Ninja’s next entry into their souls-like series set on the Sengoku period. It is the developer’s new game after the release of Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty and Rise of the Ronin.

Unlike the previous games, players will have two different combat styles to choose from, Samurai and Ninja. Fans of the series will be familiar with the Samurai style with Ninja Style being the latest gameplay addition.

Samurai style will have new actions like better martial arts and the use of deflection during last-minute parry. On the other hand, the Ninja style lets players do quick dodges, Ninjitsu techniques like leaving clone following an attack, and last-minute evasion. Aerial maneuverability has also been added to the ninja style. The game lets players change between the two styles on the go.

Once more, unlike the previous games in the series, Nioh 3 will offer more branching paths. It will let the player take control of a character that is a young warrior set to be the new Shogun.

The game will launch on PlayStation 5 in 2026 with the PC release being set for a later date. You can play the demon to get a feel of the game but it is only available on PlayStation till 18th June 2025.
