The developer of The Sinking City 2, Frogwares, has started a Kickstarter campaign that will last until the game is completed. Along with the campaign’s start, a new gameplay trailer for the game was also revealed, which shows us more of what the sequel has to offer.
Unlike the first game, this new sequel will be a full-on survival horror experience that will take us back to the flooded and abandoned streets. The latest gameplay trailer gives us a look at different enemy types, investigation, combat, and other stuff.
The Kickstarter goal for The Sinking City 2 was $108K, which is now sitting at more than twice that amount. It shows that there is a lot of interest in the game so expectations are high.
More details regarding the game will be revealed in a longer developer diary. The new trailer will also touch on the topics like the use of Unreal Engine 5. It will show us how the developer Frogwares will create a compelling experience that will not only look well but play well as well.
The game is set to release in 2025 for PlayStation 5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S.
