During the PlayStation’s State of Play event in May 2024 the developers of Where Winds Meet, Everstone Games released a new gameplay trailer for the game. There have been rumors that the game is going to be released in July 2024. However, this new trailer shows no release date, meaning the rumors were just rumors.
Where Winds Meet is a third-person open-world game. It is an action-adventure game that has martial arts thrown in the mix.
At a glance, it seems like a mix between Ghost of Tsushima and Assassin’s Creed which can excite a lot of players. It also reminds me of Rise of The Ronin.
The gameplay that we see in this new trailer is not of the final product so take it with a grain of salt. Despite not seeing the final product, it gives us a decent enough idea of what to expect from Where Winds Meet. Story and Gameplay
The game is set in the Chinese historical period known as the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdom.
You play as a person shaped by chaos who embarks on a dangerous journey to save the kingdom. As players progress they will get a chance to expand their skill set which will increase chances of survivability. The game will give you the option to become a doctor, even a merchant among others.
Combat will be the central focus of Where Winds Meet. The skills, attacks, and counterattacks play a major role in the combat. You will even have the ability to turn the enemy’s attacks back onto them. Developers are saying that you will have the freedom to define your own combat style. It seems like there are souls-like aspects also thrown in the mix.
There is also a construction system in the game that will let you reshape some parts of the environment around you. This construction system will allow players to interact with the world around them. Where Winds Meet will be an open-world experience in a detailed world around you.
