Google Stadia VR A Wide Range of Possibilities

Google Stadia VR

Could gaming VR sounds great doesn’t it? However there is a lot to it than meets the eye. Cloud Gaming creates opportunities for VR that are not available in traditional video gaming. Google Stadia have functionalities that could make access to VR gaming easier than ever before. Streaming gaming platforms will make the use of VR cheaper and easier. Any smartphone and VR headset can make VR gaming achievable with cloud gaming platforms. The budget required for VR gaming will be cut exponentially with cloud gaming. Google Stadia VR could become a possibility in the future.

Microsoft’s Project xCloud

Microsoft’s Project xCloud is also a streaming service that can open the doorway to a wide range of possibilities. Project xCloud VR could become a future choice for many cloud gaming platform users. There are not yet any plans by both Microsoft and Google regarding VR gaming. However, we can look at all the possibilities that cloud gaming platforms can open for future VR gaming. At this point the availability of Google Stadia VR and Project xCloud VR is nonexistent. It does not mean that VR is not possible with could service. VR Cloud gaming is possible and only needs little more effort to make a platform VR friendly.

Cloud Gaming VR

Cloud gaming VR can work like any other VR platform. It can utilize a smartphone and a traditional VR headset to let a person play games in Virtual Reality. Using VR in integration with cloud gaming is possible.  Project xCloud and Google Stadia have already announced their support for smartphones. The use of smartphones as a streaming device opens a wide range of possibilities. If Google Stadia VR and Project xCloud VR becomes available then it would solve lots of problems. The cloud gaming service could bring high-end VR gaming to mobile devices without the use of powerful hardware. The opportunities that cloud gaming such as Google Stadia and Project xCloud creates for VR games are limitless.

PC Mobile VR vs Cloud Gaming VR

The possibilities achieved through cloud gaming are hard to achieve with traditional gaming. If players are trying to use VR with their cell phone then they would still need powerful hardware to run games. So players will be limited to the hardware. Software such as Trinus Virtual Reality can be used to play PC VR games on smartphones. Trinus Virtual Reality also requires powerful hardware to run the games because it streams games on smartphones. Powerful hardware is necessary for all of the VR setups that we currently have. Smartphones are not capable of running high graphics games with their internal hardware.

Cloud gaming would make Smartphone independent. All a person would need to run high graphics VR game will be a smartphone and a VR headset. Cloud gaming has the potential to change the perception of video games. Google Stadia VR could be the perfect platform for cloud VR games

Traditional VR Gaming Require More Hardware

Cloud VR gaming requires far fewer devices to operate properly. It not only reduces cost but also the devices needed to play a VR game. At present all the VR gaming platforms are dependent on multiple devices. PlayStation VR requires camera and motion trackers to fully integrate the player into the game. Oculus and Vive requires the same type of devices to give people an immersive experience of VR. I am not saying that VR games cannot be played without these devices.

There are games that can be played using only a VR headset. However, the VR headsets required in that case are really expensive. On the other hand, if a person uses software like Trinus Virtual Reality then it would still require a camera to detect a person’s motion. The performance of Trinus Virtual Reality is sloppy. A player would still need motion tracker for a complete VR experience. Even at a minimum player would need more hardware for VR games than traditional games.

Advantages Cloud Gaming VR

Cloud gaming platform could be the solution for minimizing the devices used in VR games. Platforms such as Google Stadia VR could become a solution to this problem. The current VR gaming systems require many devices as described above.  In the case of cloud gaming, many of these devices won’t be needed for the proper function of VR games. Smartphones are full of motion sensing devices that help with their basic functions.

Smartphones Would be Important Part of Google Stadia VR

Most of the hardware needed for VR gaming is already integrated into smartphones. In most cases, players would only require a controller, a smartphone and a VR headset. Even a Google Cardboard VR headset can work as a high-end VR. The complicated games would require other devices. With the introduction of Google Stadia VR, we will see cheaper devices popping in the market. Google has proven that they have no problem working with third-party devices. Microsoft has been neglectful when it comes to VR. Watching Google Stadia VR could push them into the race of Virtual Reality gaming.

Cost Effectiveness of Google Stadia VR

Google Stadia VR would reduce the cost required for VR gaming drastically. Gamers have smartphones so using them in VR won’t be much trouble. The resolutions of mobile screens are already getting higher. So the idea of worrying about the clarity of the image can become trouble of the past. A standard VR headset can be used for the optimum virtual reality experience. For standard VR games, a controller, VR headset and a smartphone will be enough for a complete VR experience.

Effect of Google Stadia VR on the Overall VR Market

The cost of associated with present-day VR gaming can be reduced with cloud VR gaming. The devices such as motion trackers, cameras and other devices won’t be needed Google Stadia VR. Even if such devices are necessary then the cheaper versions would become available with the prominence of VR. As I described earlier Google is totally cool with third-party devices. So Google Stadia VR could work with all the third party devices that could be  part of the VR market. In short, cloud VR gaming would be cheaper than the traditional VR gaming.

Why is Google Stadia VR a Possibility?

We cannot rule out the possibility of Google Stadia VR or Project xCloud VR. Virtual Reality gaming is considered the future of entertainment media. Gaming platforms can’t just leave this whole future in the hands of traditional video gaming. Many experts consider cloud gaming to be the future of gaming given its potential. Google won’t just leave this large group of gamers in the hands of Sony. If they don’t introduce Google Stadia VR then PlayStation VR will overtake them in the long run. Sony and Microsoft are combining forces which could be trouble for Google Stadia. Sony must already have taken VR into consideration while developing its cloud gaming platform. I can say with confidence that if Google Stadia is successful then Google Stadia VR won’t be far away.
