Resident Evil 4 Remake has been announced and it is releasing in 2023. There was a lot of speculating regarding the release of this remake. Now it has been announced in June 2022 State of Play. It takes place in the village with infection and characters from the original are returning. The game will act as the reimagination of one of the best games in the series. The original one had a long campaign and amazing encounters. Resident Evil 4 was the game that redefined the series and now it is getting a remake. There were two other remakes in the series before Resident Evil 4 Remake 2023.
Resident Evil 4 Remake, News So Far
Remaking a good game is always harder. Resident Evil 4 Remake 2023, is not different as it has to retain the essence while also making it feel good. Demon Souls Remake was able to it on the next-gen console. The previous remakes of the series also help it stand on the higher ground.
Resident Evil 2 Remake and Resident Evil 3 Remake has given Capcom ample experience. The difference is that Resident Evil 4 is longer, and it is not just a 6 to 7 hours run. There is a lot more to it than simply linearly unlocking new paths. It would be interesting to see how the developers approach it.
The Next-Gen
RE 4 Remake 2023 is a next-gen game, so it will only release on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC. Resident Evil 4 Remake 2023 will be released on March 24, 2023. The game will not be a scene-by-scene remake. It will introduce some changes to the story and will have more spooky moments.
It seems like developers are changing stuff to make it a newer kind of experience. If it provides an amazing reimagined experience, it can be one of the best games of 2023.
