Solar Warlock build Destiny 2 is one of the most powerful builds for warlock. Solar warlock will let you throw grenades one after another. There is a lot that the Solar Warlock build Destiny 2 has to offer. It will let you dominate the combat both in solo and team play. With Destiny 2 Solar Warlock build, you can scorch targets, ignite them, throw a lot of grenades, and gain class ability in an instant. It is one of the few builds that rely less on the stats and more on gameplay.

Amor Pieces for Destiny 2 Solar Warlock Build

To make the Warlock solar build, you need armor pieces with high resilience and regeneration. Resilience will increase the amount of damage you take while regeneration will help you regain health quickly. Solar Warlock build Destiny 2 does not use regeneration for rift cooldown as much as it uses it for survival. The exotic armor piece of the solar warlock build will give you both grenade energy and rift.

Exotic Armor (Starfire Protocol)

It is an exotic armor that revolves around fusion grenades. While using Starfire Protocol, your Fusion Grenades will have two charges. Killing an enemy with fusion grenades will instantly give you class ability. Damaging enemies while standing in empowering rift will grant grenade energy. It has been nerfed but having two grenades and the ability to get the rift back from grenade kills helps a lot. You can also use healing rift since empowering rift will not help much.

The Touch of Flame aspect makes the Fusion grenade extremely powerful. So you can kill all minor enemies with a single grenade on Grandmaster. It is one of the most powerful grenades for Warlock Solar. You can be sure that you will have a rift and grenades most of the time with Solar Warlock build Destiny 2.

Since you will be using Empowering Rift, mods will help you survive and regain health.

The helmet mod will let you gain super energy through grenade kills.

Ashes to Assets

Ashes to Assets mod is an important part of the solar warlock build Destiny 2. It will grant you super energy whenever you defeat an enemy with a grenade. Since you will be taking down enemies with grenades constantly it will grant you super quickly. Use two Ashes to Assets mods for maximum efficiency.

Gauntlets

Mods on gauntlets will grant ability energy and will create an orb of power.

Firepower

Defeating an enemy with a grenade will create an orb of power. Other mods will use these mods to grant different ability energy.

Impact Induction

Damaging an enemy with melee will reduce the cooldown time of the grenade. Use any other mod as the third one as long as you have the energy.

Grenades

Fusion Grenades are the way to go because no other type of grenade would work with the warlock solar build. You will get two charges of Fusion Grenade thanks to Starfire Protocol. Killing enemies with a Fusion Grenade will also grant you class ability. Doing damage to enemies while standing in Empowering Rift will grant Fusion Grenade energy. However, you can use either Healing Rift since Empowering Rift has been nerfed.

Melee

Incinerator Snap would let you scorch enemies and would even cause ignition. A Fusion grenade and a melee can cause ignition thanks to the Ember of Ashes fragment. It is a major source of ignition damage for Solar Warlock build Destiny 2. You can use Celestial Fire melee in harder content since it has a higher range.

Class Ability

You can use either Healing Rift or Empowering Rift since Empowering Rift has been nerfed for Starfire Protocol. However, Empowering Rift can still help you gain some grenade energy. The Bomber mod on Rift will grant you grenade energy whenever you use it.

Super

Well of Radiance super work best with Solar Warlock Build Destiny 2. Using Well of Radiance will grant you protection and also grenade energy when you damage enemies when standing in it.

Aspects and Fragments

Aspects and Fragments are an important part of builds. Warlock solar build Destiny 2 uses aspects to make the Fusion grenade extremely powerful. Fragments would let you do more damage through scorching, ignitions, and radiant weapon damage.

Aspects

The two aspects are Touch of Flame and Heat Rises. They will let your grenades do more damage and heal you if needed.

Touch of Flame will increase the effectiveness of your grenades. Fusion grenades will explode twice. The second explosion of Fusion grenades is very powerful. It has a large area of effect damage, making it the most powerful grenade for Warlock.

Heat Rises

Defeating enemies while in the air will grant you melee energy. It does not matter how high you jump. As long as you take down an enemy while in the air, you will gain melee energy with Solar Warlock build Destiny 2. It can even be bunny hop.

Holding the grenade button will consume the grenade and activate Heat Rises, releasing a burst of energy that will heal you. You can glide while Heat Rises is active, letting you stay in the air much longer. Enemies you defeat while in the air will not only grant you melee energy but increase the duration of Heat Raises as well.

Solar Warlock build Destiny 2 uses different fragments to increase both weapon and ability damage. Fragments will let you apply scorch which will lead to ignitions. One of the fragments will make you radiant which will let you do more weapon damage.

Ember of Ashes

You will apply more scorch to targets, making ignitions easier. Ember of Ashes will make Fusion grenades even more powerful since grenades can now ignite targets more often.

Ember of Resolve

Defeating an enemy with a grenade will cure you. Ember of Resolve will add healing to your grenades. Using it will increase the survivability of your Solar Warlock build Destiny 2.

Your ignition will have an increased area of effect. Ember of Eruption will increase the explosion size of your ignitions. You will be constantly igniting enemies with grenades thanks to Ember of Ashes so it will help a lot in increasing the overall damage output of the Solar Warlock build.

Whenever you ignite a target, it will get scorched even after the ignition occurs. Ember of Char will help you chain ignitions which will help in increasing the overall damage output. It will also help you keep the enemies scorched even after the ignition occurs.

Weapons

Weapons are an important part of the solar warlock build Destiny 2. Like any other solar build, use a weapon that has an Incandescent trait or a weapon that can scorch enemies. Defeating an enemy with a weapon having the Incandescent trait will scorch nearby enemies. It can even lead to the ignition of nearby enemies. You can use any other weapon that does damage overtime while using Empowering Rift. Doing so will help in regeneration of grenades while standing in Empowering rift. Witherhoard works really well with the Starfire Protocol Build.

How to Use Solar Warlock Build Destiny 2?

After using all the mods, aspects, fragments, and exotic pieces mentioned above your build will be ready for combat. Throw a grenade to take down enemies. Once you are out of grenades, use the rift to generate grenade energy from the Bomber mod. Damaging enemies while standing in the Well of Radiance or Empowering rift will give you grenade energy. You can throw two grenades which can lead to ignition doing more damage to the enemy. Use rift to generate grenade and use grenades to generate rifts, that’s how the build works. Destiny 2 warlock solar build will increase your weapon damage while all the buffs are active.
